Finn Dean was shortlisted for the V&A Book illustration award, illustrating Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." These beautiful images have already been celebrated, winning House of Illustration and Folio Society book illustration competition 2013.
'The illustrations are neon infused, Art Deco inspired works that are meant to reflect the way science has replaced religion in the book; science labs have grand cathedral-like interiors, they've become places of worship, where we become humbled but he progress of science. But to reflect the dystopian outlook the images aren't clean and chic, they're rough and dirty...something isn't quite right within the world'.
