Illustrator Submissions


We welcome submissions from illustrators who are looking for representation.  

Please e-mail no more than 5 samples (low-resolution JPEG
files) with a link to your website and social media to [email protected]
 
You are also welcome to post samples to us but please include
​an SAE if you would like your work to be returned.

*Please do not submit texts to the submission email above - this is for illustration submissions only. 

Author Submissions


At present we are NOT considering texts for picture books, books for adults or poetry collections.

We accept text submissions from debut and published authors via email only. Please read our guidelines below carefully and then send any submissions to the email at the bottom of the guidelines.

Whilst we do read and consider every submission we receive, we are a small agency and cannot respond individually to every submission.

If we are interested in discussing further, and feel your work is right for us at Pickled Ink, we will try to respond to you within 6-8 weeks. If you haven't heard from us after 12 weeks, then it is probably a pass from us.

GUIDELINES

Please include the following in your submission:
  • Full manuscript as word document. Please label your word document with your name and book's title.
  • A page synopsis of your story
  • A little background information about yourself, including any relevant social media handles, websites or published works

As a specialist children's and YA agency, we are interested in seeing texts for the following age ranges:
  • Younger fiction (5-7 & 7-9) chapter books texts and submissions from authors and from author-illustrators
  • Graphic novels for all ages up to YA
  • Middle grade (8-12 years)
  • Teen (12+)
  • YA (14+) and crossover
  • Children's and YA non-fiction proposals
