Roxana de Rond is a freelance illustrator with a passion for drawing people and dogs. After years of moving between the States and the UK, she settled in Cambridge. Cambridge proves to be an inspirational place to live with its buildings, green spaces, history and interesting inhabitants.
In 2016 Roxana graduated with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University. Her book Monty and Mortimer was highly commended for the Macmillan prize and has since been published with Child’s Play under the new name Monty and Milo. Whilst doing her MA, she turned idle people-watching into stories told with just a few strokes of pen and ink and gouache. These stories are often every day events infused with humour and reflecting a sense of contentment.
