Rob Lloyd Jones
While learning to write, Rob worked as an archaeologist, a postman and a shepherd. He finally sussed it out with the award-winning Wild Boy series of detective novels, and then the Jake Atlas adventure series, both for Walker Books. He also co-wrote Me, My Brother and the Monster Meltdown with his two sons (basically stealing their ideas).
Rob is also a senior editor at Usborne, for whom he’s written over a hundred books – mostly historical non-fiction, but also picture books, pop-up books and books with flaps. So many flaps. His books have won several awards, including the Royal Society Young Person’s Book Prize, the Week Junior Book of the Year, and the Children’s Literature Festivals Book Award. He lives in, and loves, the South Downs. |
