Today's blog post introduces illustrator Ya-Ling Huang to the portfolio. A recent graduate of the Cambridge School of Art Children’s Book Illustration MA, her work is already gaining industry attention having been selected for the 2016 Bologna Book Fair, highly commended in the Macmillan prize and recently awarded 2nd prize in Poland Katowice 'A Well Designed Book'.
Though it was Ya-Ling's watercolours that first caught our eye, in a short period of time we've already seen her work develop and branch out into mixed media. Throughout, Ya-Ling's ability to portray humorous characters, intriguing compositions and her subtle play on the every day, ordinary occurrences remains a highlight.
