Last year Staffan Gnosspelius was commissioned by award-winning television production company, Kudos, to create the artwork for an upcoming Channel 4 show which aired last month. Flowers a superbly dark comedy starring Olivia Coleman and Julian Barratt featured Maurice (Barratt), a struggling illustrator whose children's book character, Mr Grubb, offers up sinister narrative excerpts throughout 6-part the series. Staffan's etchings and sketchbook drawings of Mr Grubb and his family were used as a backdrop for Maurice's studio. Read an interview with the director, Will Sharpe and Vice magazine, which features Staffan here.
