Angela Woolfe
Angela Woolfe is an author from London.
Her books for children include the Avril Crump trilogy and the Kingdom of the Frosty Mountains series, both for Egmont. Her books for grown-ups (under the pen names Holly McQueen and Lucy Holliday) include the Isabel Bookbinder trilogy and Charlie Glass’s Slippers (an early attempt to excise her fascination with Cinderella) for Random House, and more recently the A Night In With… series for HarperCollins, in which legendary movie stars appeared on a magical Chesterfield sofa to offer advice to the lovelorn. She is married with one young daughter who is even more obsessed with fairytales than she is. Her children's MG adventure Roxy & Jones: The Great Fairytale Cover-Up was published with Walker Books in May 2020 with a sequel - Roxy & Jones: The Curse of the Gingerbread Witch - in October 2021. She also writes picture books and her Agent Llama series illustrated by Duncan Beedie and Supersaurus: Total Tricero-Flop, illustrated by Mark Chambers, are published by Little Tiger Press, and The Wills and the Won'ts, illustrated by Roland Garrigue, was published by Penguin/Viking in July 2022. |
