Brían Dungan
Born in Dublin, Brían splits his time between his family, his day job in film and television and his passion for writing.
Having shown early promise by winning an MTV/Ericsson Short Script Award in 1999 and a BBC New Writer Award in 2002, Brían turned his love of movies into a career. In over twenty years as a camera assistant, Brían has worked on projects as varied as Game Of Thrones, The Last Duel, Derry Girls and Black Mirror, done commercials for Calvin Klein and Vodafone and made Hollywood blockbusters and Oscar winners with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Martin McDonagh and Sir Ridley Scott. Having also laboured on screenplays through much of that time, Brían recently turned his attention to long-form prose and is currently working on his debut middle grade adventure. Brían aims to be the latest in a long and distinguished line of published authors from his home town of Skerries, where he lives with his long-suffering wife and three daughters. |
